A victory by Joseph Biden, the president-elect of the United States, will probably pave the way to the European Union’s comeback as the key international partner to the U.S., which might mean that the role of Brussels in handling regional issues, including the situation in the Western Balkans, could be expanded. As things stand now, the change has found the Serbian opposition unprepared and disorganized. However paradoxical it may sound, the ruling bloc, which openly supported Donald Trump and advocated a territory swap with Kosovo, could manage the new situation more successfully than Serbia’s disunited opposition.
