The inhumane conditions in which the Vietnamese workers hired to build a factory for Chinese Linglong company were living, which the Serbian public learned about last week, once again revealed the authorities’ attitude toward foreign investors and workers. Even though activists presented a number of facts indicating the possibility that the Vietnamese workers were victims of human trafficking, the authorities were first silent, then aimed to minimize the problem, and finally went on the attack.
