A Decision with Hidden Motives

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s announcement that he will ban the holding of the pan-European LGBTI EuroPride manifestation in Belgrade has stirred up a storm of reactions in the country and internationally and is topic that has overshadowed Belgrade and Pristina’s agreement on personal documents and the appointing of a prime minister-designate. Although Vucic reiterated this week that the authorities would not change their decision on banning EuroPride, some kind of compromise should not be ruled out.
