Serbia’s political scene was marked by turbulent events over the last seven days, which started with a special session of the Serbian parliament on Kosovo, in a charged atmosphere on the verge of a physical fight. The leadership of the Serbian Progressive Party, specifically its president Aleksandar Vucic, soon found an occasion for attacking Ivica Dacic’s Socialist Party of Serbia, while media outlets close to the authorities hinted at snap elections at all levels. In the background of those processes, whereby Vucic has managed to cause confusion among the public, is the European Union’s plan for Kosovo which the Serbian president is facing.
