Activists in Serbia, whose views are contrary to the dominant narrative that Aleksandar Vucic’s government has been building for years, have been facing rising pressure as of lately, often legal in nature. Part of these efforts by the authorities are strikes by prominent members of the regime on the Mirëdita, Dobar Dan (Good day in Albanian and Serbian, respectively) festival, which is designed to bring Serbs and Kosovo Albanians closer culturally.
