Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s meetings with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a deputy to his assistant, Matthew Palmer, and the executive vice president of the Atlantic Council, Damon Wilson, are signaling a quicker step toward a solution for the Kosovo crisis, which has been the common thread in the talks. Pompeo’s decision to have a prolonged separate meeting with the Serbian president makes it clear that Washington feels it’s high time Belgrade received a clear message from the appropriate level and in an appropriate way, which subsequent statements have testified to.
