Vladimir Djukanovic, a Member of Parliament from the Serbian Progressive Party, the party’s senior official who is also a practicing lawyer and a journalist, is one of the most controversial politicians in the country. Djukanovic is a loyal, very close ally to President Aleksandar Vucic, his alter ego so to speak. He’s saying openly what the president is thinking, mostly the things Vucic doesn’t want to say. Criticizing Djukanovic is attacking the president, which is why ruling party members steer clear of any such moves.
