An Engineer for a Status Quo in the Media Sphere

Mihailo Jovanovic, with a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. in economics, has been appointed Serbia’s new minister of information and telecommunications, causing, quite logically, skepticism among those interested in improving the status of the country’s media. The key reason for it is that Jovanovic, a member of the circle close to Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, has absolutely no experience in the media field, although his resume in the area of telecommunications is quite impressive.
