The People’s Party whip, Miroslav Aleksic, is the protagonist of the latest commotion in the opposition party founded by a former Serbian foreign minister, Vuk Jeremic. Aleksic, one of the party’s seven vice-presidents and the chair of the Executive Committee, has been at the helm of the faction that has been trying to schedule an extraordinary party assembly this month, but he appears to be a fairly hesitant handler, probably because he realized that the support he expected wasn’t as strong as he had hoped.
