Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and the Armenian speaker, Ararat Mirzoyan, agreed during Mirzoyan's visit to Belgrade on March 11 that a decision to lift the existing visa regime between the two states would encourage businesspeople to travel to the two states and learn more about investment and trade opportunities.

President Vucic underlined that the opening of a new Serbian embassy in Yerevan was the sign of true friendship and a desire to boost all aspects of cooperation between the two states, Vucic was quoted as saying by the Office of the Serbian President. The president thanked Armenia for its firm support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, in international organizations as well.

Vucic said he expected a stronger political dialogue to boost economic cooperation, which was currently falling short of its potential.

The Armenian speaker underlined the importance of parliamentary diplomacy and dialogue in providing more accurate information and more effective coordination when it came to issues of mutual importance, the Office quoted Mirzoyan as saying.
