Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic on March 31 said that his ministry’s activities had been reduced to bringing home Serbian nationals stranded around the world and organizing deliveries of medical supplies to Serbia.

“There is hardly any Serbian national stuck at airports or border crossings,” Dacic said in a video statement to TV Prva.

According to him, some 4,000 Serbian nationals have been brought home, half of whom by plane, including the flights from Istanbul and Bucharest scheduled for March 31. He added that additional flights from Vienna and Paris, organized by Serbia, were planned for April 1.

Speaking about the Serbian diplomats in Switzerland infected with coronavirus, Dacic said that they were fine.

“Serbia’s entire diplomatic corps has been engaged on helping Serbian nationals and organizing deliveries of aid supplies to Serbia. Foreign policies have globally been reduced to the fight against coronavirus,”  Dacic noted.
