Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic received a letter on April 27, in which his South Korean counterpart, Kang Kyung-wha, thanked him for the Serbian government's assistance in organizing travel back home for South Koreans stranded outside their home country during the coronavirus pandemic.

She also extended her condolences to everyone who had lost their loved ones or were affected by Covid-19 in Serbia, and expressed solidarity with the Serbian government in its efforts to fight a healthcare crisis of global proportions.

"I am confident that Serbia will defeat the pandemic, reducing its consequences to a minimum, having in mind that your government is taking all the steps necessary to curb and prevent the spread of the virus," the South Korean minister said in her letter to Dacic

She also said she hoped that travel between the two states would continue despite the crisis, including visits by businesspeople as an important basis for bilateral relations. Kang Kyung-wha also offered her country's support to the exchange of experiences as for the measures to curb the pandemic, as the number of new cases appeared to be going down in South Korea.
