Since the outbreak, 145,604 people meeting "case criteria" have been tested in Serbia, and the total number of confirmed cases was 10,176 on May 11.
The fatality rate in Serbia is 2.14 percent. By May 11 3,290 people had recovered from Covid-19, while 1,123 are hospitalized, 29 on ventilators.
Kon said the epidemiological situation remained uncertain and that medical experts were "a little concerned" because the citizens "relaxed too quickly." He added that it was clear that the epidemic was dying down, but that caution was still necessary because "the relaxing is going too fast."
