The presidents of Serbia and Armenia, Aleksandar Vucic and Armen Sarkissiani respectively, on May 26 agreed that the two countries had successfully responded to coronavirus outbreaks, Vucic’s office said in a statement.
Vucic said that Belgrade was ready to deploy medical equipment to Armenia if necessary. Speaking on the phone, the two presidents concluded that containment of coronavirus spread would enable Serbia and Armenia to continue developing cooperation.
Vucic and Sarkissiani said they were happy to see visas scrapped for Armenian nationals traveling to Serbia and vice versa. They also discussed concrete information technology and agricultural projects that could enable joint undertakings in third markets.
Sarkissiani invited Vucic to visit Armenia once adequate conditions were in place.
