Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and U.S. Ambassador to Belgrade Anthony Godfrey on June 1 voiced their disappointment over Pristina's latest moves related to Serbian imports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated.
Dacic pointed out that "such decisions are very harmful, they violate all the agreements so far and make the possibility of the dialogue resuming more difficult," recalling that Ambassador Richard Grenell had earlier also called on Pristina to abolish the unilaterally imposed tariffs and reciprocal measures.
Godfrey said that he "shares the disappointment regarding this move by Pristina" and said that he hoped all restrictions would soon be lifted and that the dialogue would continue, reads the statement.
On the subject of the upcoming elections in Serbia, the U.S. ambassador reiterated that it was important for all political actors in the country to take part in the polls, which would help make the parliament a place where all political voices would be heard, the statement added.
