The German non-government organization "Help" has provided 75,400 protective masks for the Red Cross of Serbia, to aid in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the Red Cross announced on June 11.

Of that number, 73,400 masks are intended for carrying out the soup-kitchen program, while 2,000 will be issued to volunteers of the Red Cross of Belgrade.

The procurement of EUR40,000 worth of masks has been secured through the project "Support to the Social and Economic Stability in the Western Balkan Region 2019-2020," which is being financed by the Federal Republic of Germany within the German Development Cooperation.

According to the statement, the masks will be presented on June 12, with German Ambassador Thomas Schieb attending, in the main warehouse of the Red Cross of Serbia in the Zemun quarter in Belgrade.
