Line Minister: Joint Infrastructure Projects with China Worth over EUR7 BN

In a meeting with the manager of China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) in Serbia, Zhang Xiaoyun, on June 16, Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said that the value of the infrastructure projects realized together with China was above EUR7 billion.

“Aside from the ongoing works on the Preljina-Pozega highway section, the construction of the so-called Fruska Gora Corridor, the development of design and technical documentation for the Pozega-Duga Poljana section and the construction of the high-speed Belgrade-Ni and Nis-Presevo railways are very important for us. We have excellent cooperation with CRBC and also successfully completed projects and I believe that we will continue to cooperation well also on the future undertakings,” Mihajlovic said.

Zhang said he was happy for new joint projects, noting that despite the coronavirus pandemic, a great deal of work had been done so far.

“I am happy that we will continue cooperating on new projects that are important for Serbia. We are preparing documentations for the highway section linking Pozega and Duga Poljana, we are ready for the Fruska Gora Corridor, and also for further talks regarding the high-speed railway reconstruction,” Zhang said, according to a release from the Serbian ministry.
