The head of the National Association of Travel Agencies (YUTA), Aleksandar Senicic, said on June 29 that all tourists traveling to Greece would have to have a QR code to enter the country, but there would be tolerance for the groups of tourists departing on July 1 and 2, given that the Greek government published the form for obtaining the code over the weekend of June 27-28.
Senicic told Prva TV that all Serbian travel agencies already had the Passenger Locator Form (PLF), based on which the QR code is obtained, and that those who wanted to travel to Greece on their own could download it from the Greek government's website.
"It is confusing for us who are in this business, too, that the conditions and rules for entry into the country have changed for the second time, during a weekend. Those are usual data, we used to provide those data upon entering Greece, this time we are doing it online. We do not have much information, there will be some problems for entry and for filling out the forms for July 1 and 2, but we have been assured that it will not be a problem for the first groups," said Senicic.
He added that only Greece had introduced such measures for the time being, whereas for tourists going on vacation in Turkey, Tunisia or Egypt there were no special protocols, except random coronavirus testing at the borders.
