Laboratory for Testing for Coronavirus Opens in Nis

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo opened in Nis on July 30 a new laboratory called "Fiery Eye" for conducting coronavirus testing which will be able to process 1,000 samples per day.

The inauguration of the laboratory was attended by Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and Nis Mayor Darko Bulatovic. The equipment for the laboratory was donated by the Chinese government and the first samples will be accepted on July 31, according to the Serbian government's website.

All of the equipment for the laboratory has arrived in Nis and the training of personnel has been completed. The laboratory is the second of its kind in Serbia and the other laboratory, also called Fiery Eye, operates as part of the Serbian Clinical Center in Belgrade.
