Enough is Enough Movement leader Sasa Radulovic said on Aug. 3 that the police have tried to stop him from participating in the protest in front of the National Assembly, but that he managed to join the crowd nonetheless.
He told the journalists, not far from the Assembly building, that the composition of the Serbian parliament “is fake, just like the elections.”
A few dozen people have gathered in front of the Serbian Parliament. Most of them are without masks and are not keeping physical distance.
The constitutive session of the Assembly, at which the new MPs’ mandates are to be verified, began around 10 a.m. on Aug. 3.
Radulovic had called for the protesters to gather, saying that the goal is to “block the fake MPs from forming a fake assembly.”
Those rallied before the parliament building are blowing whistles and shouting “Thieves” and “You won’t last much longer.” They are also carrying posters saying “Down with Vucic’s servants” and “Down with fake MPs.”
