The epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic said on Sept. 18 that it was realistic to expect an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases over the next two weeks.
Tiodorovic told the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation that there were fewer examinations at outpatient clinics, but that this did not mean it was time to relax.
He said most people would follow the new measures adopted by the Crisis Headquarters, which come into force at 6 p.m. on Sept. 18.
According to him, citizens returning from abroad will receive an "appeal" upon entering Serbia to go to a doctor within 24 hours to establish whether their health should be monitored by a medical professional.
Tiodorovic said that children returning from abroad should not go to day care or school for ten days.
