NALED Makes a List of Serbian Parafiscal Taxes

The National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) is preparing a third register of parafiscal taxes and non-tax dues in Serbia, in order to propose to the Ministry of Finance a reform in the area that would ease the burden on the national economy, the organization explained to BETA on Sept. 30.

The NALED PR officer, Ivan Radak, said that the key purpose of the reform was to define taxes, dues and parafiscal taxes.

According to Radak, the register of parafiscal taxes, supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) should prevent the Republic's authorities or local communities to introduce new taxes at their discretion.
