Dejana Kostadinova
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic welcomed on Oct. 12 Deyana Kostadinova, the new director of the UNICEF office for Serbia, who presented her credentials letters to him during the meeting.
Dacic "voiced his satisfaction that a representative of the friendly and neighboring state of Bulgaria has taken the rudder of UNICEF in Serbia," the Serbian Foreign Ministry quoted him as saying in a statement.
He described UNICEF's cooperation with Serbia as very good and thanked UNICEF for its activities toward protecting the rights and improving the position of children and that he expected this cooperation to be deepened and expanded.
Kostadinova also stressed that cooperation between UNICEF and Serbia "is on an enviable level" and that UNICEF would continue to offer the Serbian government support in advancing the rights and position of children.
