The Albanian and North Macedonian prime ministers, Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev, welcomed on Nov. 9 a decision by Kosovo to join a Mini-Schengen initiative, hoping that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro would join the regional initiative soon.
Speaking at an online Mini Schengen conference, attended by the Serbian president and prime minister, Aleksandar Vucic and Ana Brnabic, and North Macedonia's PM, Zoran Zaev, Rama said he was pleased that the next conference within the Berlin process in Sofia would open "a new phase of close cooperation, as Kosovo has decided to sit at the table as well."
"I hope the remaining two states belonging to the Western Balkans Six (Bosnia and Montenegro) will definitely join us, so that we can all move towards a better future together," the Albanian PM said.
His North Macedonian counterpart, Zoran Zaev, also welcomed Kosovo to the regional cooperation initiative, expecting the remaining two states to follow suit.
