Epidemiologist Branislav Tiodorovic has said that during the Easter holidays celebrated according to the Gregorian calendar many people will arrive in Serbia and that many will use the opportunity to receive the anti-COVID-19 vaccine because it is in short supply in the countries they live in.
Tiodorovic said for the RTS public service in the evening on March 30 that this is a risky situation and that the measures that are currently in effect will continue to apply. Those who arrive will have to have a negative PCR test or self-isolate, and that the period of self-isolation can be shortened if they take the test meanwhile.
Tiodorovic also said that the medical part of the Crisis Headquarters had decided not to change the current measures and that after April 1 they will reassess the situation. He added that caution is necessary when easing the measures.
He also believes that a dilemma of choosing between health and economy is false: “There is no dilemma: the only way out is both health and the economy. [But] we are now in a situation that warrants giving priority to health,” the epidemiologist concluded.
