Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that he was confident that Serbia could make faster strides toward membership in the European Union "in the period before us."

Late on April 15, Vucic posted on Instagram that he had had a good and open talk with representatives with the Quint countries and the head of the EU delegation on all issues of importance to Serbia and its future.

"An important visit to Brussels will follow soon, where we will discuss all regional issues, the rule of law and our country's progress on the Europena path. I am confident that Serbia can proceed quicker toward the EU in the period before us," Vucic posted to the "buducnostsrbijeav" Instagram profile.

According to the post, Vucic met with the ambassadors of the Quint -- U.S. Ambassador Anthony Godfrey, UK Ambassador Sian MacLeod, French Ambassador Jean-Louis Falconi, Italian Ambassador Carlo Lo Cascio, German charge d'affaires Dorothea Gieselmann and head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi.
