The IT and E-Government Office chief, Mihailo Jovanovic, on May 11 said that a total of 3.83 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines had been administered in Serbia.

Jovanovic told state public broadcaster RTS that of the total number, 2.17 million were first doses, 1.66 million second, while 1.38 persons were considered immunized.

“In Belgrade, 500,000 people have been revaccinated, which is an excellent figure,” Jovanovic said, adding that the target was to vaccinate 50 percent of the population and immunize three million citizens.

“Three cities already have more than 45 percent of their respective adult population vaccinated – Nis, Belgrade and Uzice,” he said.

Jovanovic also said that inoculation at shopping malls had produced excellent results. Currently, jabs are being administered at six shopping malls in Serbia. “In few days, more than 6,000 people have received shots in shopping malls,” Jovanovic said.
