Serbian and Chinese foreign ministers Nikola Selakovic and Wang Yi said at a May 29 meeting in Guiyang that the two countries would continue developing ties in all areas and support each other in matters of mutual interest.

Selakovic said after the meeting that Serbian-Chinese relations "have reached the highest point in modern history," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a release. "This was a unique opportunity to discuss existing Serbian-Chinese ties and ways to develop them in the future. The two states have developed a comprehensive strategic partnership, and are proud of their iron friendship, which the best of relations between our two presidents, Aleksandar Vucic and Xi Jinping, has made truly unique. These relations have triggered the development of bilateral ties," Selakovic said.

Charter, the ministry went on to say in the press release.
