Eight People Die of COVID-19 in Serbia, 116 Newly Infected  

 In the last 24 hours, eight people died of COVID-19 in Serbia, while 116 newly infected were registered, the health authorities announced on June 6.

The Ministry of Health announced on its website that 6,274 samples had been tested in the past 24 hours. Of 531 currently hospitalized COVID patients, 26 are on ventilators.

Since the outbreak of the disease in Serbia, 6,917 people have died bringing the death rate to 0.97 percent. Serbia has tested 4,211,448 samples since the epidemic broke out of which 713.678 were positive for the virus.
