Twenty-Six People Die of Coronavirus in Serbia, 7,723 Newly Infected

A total of 26 people died in Serbia over the past 24 hours of the coronavirus bringing the death toll to 7,601, a Sept. 14 statement said.

According to the Serbian Institute of Public Health, 27,927 citizens were tested in the past 24 hours of whom 7,723 were positive for the virus. A total of 3,211 people have been hospitalized of whom 156 are on ventilators. Since the outbreak of the epidemic 5,290,374 people have been tested for the disease of whom 830,884 were positive.

Kragujevac health center director Vasilije Antic has said that in this wave of the pandemic vaccination did not fully prevent infections, but only the mandatory wearing of masks, distancing and constant washing and disinfection of hands.
