KFOR

An acting deputy to the U.S. assistant secretary of defense, Nate Adler, said that his country was proud of the success of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), and committed to participating in the mission of vital importance for the security of Kosovo and the entire region.

"We are also aware that KFOR is not a permanent solution," Adler said in a Nov. 8 interview with Politika, reporting that Adler would visit Serbia as the head of a military delegation.

According to the U.S. official, "genuine and durable security, as well as the rights of Serbs living in Kosovo and the Serbian Orthodox Church buildings, must be protected by Kosovo laws and included in a political agreement on the normalization of relations reached through a dialogue assisted by the European Union."
