Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated in Paris on Nov. 11 that clean air, clean water and solid waste management had to be one of the key priorities of every government.

"As for climate change – we hear more and more voices of the people demanding that the government do something in that regard, something about clean air, clean water, solid waste management, which have to be some of the key priorities of every government," the prime minister said at the Peace Forum.

She added that governments and international organizations had to cooperate in order to find a way to accomplish a just transition, so that poor countries were not left behind. "The leading world countries, the richest economically, are the biggest polluters. You can implement the energy and green transition, that is good and beneficial for the entire world, but we will be left behind. I think that has to be discussed more seriously," she said.

Brnabic also said the world was facing five crises simultaneously – the pandemic, individual liberties affected by it, the energy crisis, the migration crisis and technological challenges.
