Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had offered through American lobbyist Richard Grenell to help remove the Serb member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, Milorad Dodik, daily Vijesti wrote in its Dec. 7 issue.

According to the daily, in Trump Hotel in Washington on Dec. 1, Grenell had a meeting with a group of Republican congressmen, which was attended by the Serbian ambassador to the U.S. and Vucic’s longtime associate, Marko Djuric.

At the meeting, Grenell, who served as special envoy for Kosovo and the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue of the former U.S. president, Donald Trump, presented Dodik as a major element of disturbance in the Balkan, while speaking of Vucic as a partner and a factor of stability, according to the daily.

At the same meeting, the daily reported, Grenell had said that Vucic would be willing to help with withdrawal or removal of Dodik, offering as an alternative incumbent Republika Srpska President Zeljka Cvijanovic. In exchange, Vucic hopes to improve his damaged image, particularly ahead of the elections due next spring.
