Tomislav Zigmanov, the lead candidate on the list “Together for Vojvodina – Vojvodina People,” bringing together the Democratic Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina and Together for Vojvodina, said that he expected “the voice of the Croatian community to be heard again in the Parliament of Serbia.”
“It is important that we can get back to the Parliament of Serbia and open themes of importance for the region, along with the problems that don’t exclusively affect the Croats, including decentralization, even development, sustainable economic development and new agricultural policies,” Zigmanov said in an interview published by the Politika newspaper on March 7.
He said that the Croats in Serbia, as its loyal citizens, were voting to demonstrate their interest in social and political life in the country, participating in the election process to voice their desires and contribute to the development of democracy. “I believe that we can be an election surprise and win five seats in the Parliament of Serbia. Personally, I will be happy to see three representatives in the new legislature,” Zigmanov said.
