State Electoral Commission: Vucic Wins 59.26 percent of votes, Ponos 17.76

According to 89.12 percent of ballots counted, Aleksandar Vucic – the Serbian Progressive Party’s presidential candidate – won 59.26 percent of votes in the April 3 presidential election, while United for the Victory of Serbia coalition candidate Zdravko Ponos came in second with 17.76 percent of votes, the State Electoral Commission has announced.

NADA coalition candidate Milos Jovanovic placed third with 5.87 percent of votes, followed by the Patriotic Bloc’s Bosko Obradovic (4.42 percent) and the Oath Keeper’s Milica Djurdjevic Stamenkovski (4.29 percent), the Commission website reported.

Biljana Stojkovic of the We Must coalition took 3.08 percent of votes, while the Sovereigntists’ Branka Stamenkovic took 2.02 percent and Serbian Right candidate Misa Vacic won 0.88 percent of votes counted so far.

According to these preliminary results, turnout for the presidential elections was 58.6 percent.
