U.S. Ambassador Christopher Hill said on June 13 that Serbia needed to think where its future should lie, and if Belgrade’s “neutral position” was sustainable when the war in Ukraine was concerned, “and decide accordingly.”
“We are all of aware that the world has changed since February, and that we need to think where we are, what our position is and where we want to be in the future,” Hill said to reporters in Belgrade.
The U.S. ambassador said that it’s important that Serbia and Kosovo should work on their problems and establish some relations within the Brussels dialogue, adding that the problems were “difficult and challenging” indeed.
“Given that the relationship between the U.S. and Serbia is getting better and better, and having also in mind good relations between the U.S. and the European Union, it is very important for me to see more tangible progress in the Brussels dialogue,” the U.S. diplomat said.
