Greece’s ambassador in Belgrade has made a demarche to the Serbian authorities over the fact that his country was not notified of the nature of the cargo being transported by the Ukrainian aircraft which crashed in northern Greece on July 16, Greek government spokesman Ioannis Oikonomou stated on July 20.
At a press conference held in Athens, Oikonomou specified that the protest was issued on orders of Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias. The same matter spurred General Secretary Themistoklis Demiris to pay a visit to Ukraine’s ambassador in Athens.
