The president of the Party of Democratic Action of Sandzak, Sulejman Ugljanin, stated on Aug. 25 that the party would support and participate in the future government of Serbia if its designate accepts elements of the party's program.

Ugljanin did not provide a clear answer to the question about whether there had been any talks on that subject. "We had a clear program at the elections and we are the only party in Sandzak that won the exact number of votes based on its program. If the new government is democratic, with a democratic, stabilizing and peace-oriented concept, and it accepts the elements of our program, we can talk on that subject," Ugljanin said.

He stated at the news conference that the opening of a consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Novi Pazar represented a clear message that the domicile country of the Bosniaks "demonstrates interests and care" for members of this minority community, as well as for other inhabitants of Sandzak.
