The election of a new Serbian government will be carried out in late September or early October and the cabinet will include many new ministers, a vice president of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, Milos Vucevic, said on Sept. 9.

"These diplomatic processes are constantly, I won't say stopping us, but are making us focus on some things. I expect a new government to be elected late this month or at the beginning of the next," Vucevic told Pink TV.

Speaking about the position of Novi Sad mayor, which he will replace with a ministerial and position of deputy prime minister after the forming of the government, Vucevic said that the people who would take his place "will have an easier situation than I had in 2012," when he became mayor.

Vucevic also underscored that his successor at the helm of Novi Sad would certainly be someone from the same political option.
