Miroslav Lajcak, the European Union's special representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, has said that he has important and detailed talks to hold with Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Sept. 19, and that the process to move the dialogue forward will continue.

"Today (Sept. 19) the senior foreign policy advisors of the French president and German chancellor and I had important and detailed talks with Kurti and Vucic to explore options to advance the dialogue. That process will continue in the next few days," Lajcak said.

After meeting with Lajcak, French foreign and security policy advisor Emmanuel Bonne and German foreign and security policy advisor Jens Ploetner, Vucic announced that he was discussing the future of Serbia with the EU negotiators in Belgrade and that there "will be no recognition of Kosovo."

Before arriving in Belgrade, the representatives of the EU, France and Germany met with Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti in Pristina. Kurti reiterated that the purpose of the dialogue with Belgrade should be reaching a legally binding agreement based on mutual recognition.
