Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic stated in Luanda on Sept. 14 that Serbia and Angola should utilize all the available potential to build a closer and fruitful cooperation.
According to the statement of the Serbian Foreign Ministry, Selakovic stated on arriving in Luanda, where he is to attend the inauguration of the president of Angola, Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco, in the capacity of the Serbian president's special envoy, that the participation of Serbia's representatives in the ceremony was "a form of honoring the nation of friends and a brotherly country."
Selakovic told reporters at the airport in Luanda that Serbia and Angola were very connected in the past and that this visit was an opportunity to declare Serbia's wish to not only preserve the traditionally friendly and brotherly ties, but to additionally advance the two states' cooperation, the statement reads. During the visit to Luanda, he will have a series of meetings with Angolan officials and with representatives of other countries attending the inauguration.
