On July 23, Belgrade will be hosting a roundtable titled “Serbia-Czechia: A Business Dialogue and New Possibilities for Economic Collaboration” where industry representatives from both countries will be addressed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Czech Prime Minister.
The forum is part of Babis’s official two-day visit to Belgrade. He arrived in the Serbian capital on July 22 and then attended a dinner hosted by Vucic.
The business roundtable will involve the representatives of both Serbian and Czech companies from a variety of industries, including the metal and chemical industries, construction, transportation, information and communications, the food industry and banking, with the purpose of furthering economic cooperation, forging new business contacts and discussing options for joint investments and new projects.
According to the State Statistics Institute, Serbia and the Czech Republic have achieved a total trade volume of about EUR1 billion between January and May 2026, which is 4.3 percent more than during the same period last year. In 2025, Czechia was Serbia’s eighth export and 13th import partner.
At present, 245 companies majority-owned by Czech citizens or legal entities are registered in Serbia. In terms of investments made in Serbia since 2010, the Czech Republic ranks 16th.
