A retired professor of the Belgrade Faculty of Political Sciences, Cedomir Cupic, has said that Serbs leaving state jobs in Kosovo “is not a good move, it is a bad sign and could backfire in various ways in the future.”
“Not to speak about the extent to which it raises fear among the people in Kosovo or about how much the right-wing parties would be using this situation to foster warlike ideas. And all of this is happening over license plates,” Cupic told the Nov. 7 issue of Belgrade daily Nova.
According to Cupic, “this crisis should have been covered up by drones (in Serbia’s airspace, one of which has been recently shot down), and now, they have gone further by quitting (Kosovo) institutions.”
“This reveals the impotence of (Serbian President) Aleksandar Vucic. Serbia should be working on improving the quality of life of people in Kosovo, who will be now suffering the great consequences of this decision,” Cupic noted.
He added that “the goal of this (decision) is unknown, if it is war, then it is insane.”
