An informal international hacker group Anonymous sent messages to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Jan. 5, claiming they would "make him pay a high price."
On one Twitter account (@parrattarna), they claimed that they crashed the website of the Army of Serbia during the night, and the website vucic.rs in the morning of Jan. 5, but both are currently operating. "Fascist Aleksandar, don't waste your time with your dogs. Your army can't bark right now. Don't underestimate Anonymous either, we'll put the leash on you," they tweeted.
The message came after an Instagram post of the Serbian president, in which he posted a photo of him playing with dogs with a caption "Preparing to fight the Anonymous," following their initial messages from the end of December 2022, in which they claimed that Vucic was "making provocations in Kosovo and trying to provoke an armed conflict."
The account Anonymous TV with the Ukrainian flag (@youranontv), which sent the first message at the end of December, also tweeted, stating that they were ready to take on his "challenge." "Hey, Putin's puppet @avucic, since you are ready to challenge us, we will fulfill your wish. This is just the beginning, you will soon witness extraordinary surprises on our behalf. Expect us," the tweet reads.
