The deputy prime minister of North Macedonia, Bojan Maricic, has announced that the next meeting in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue would be held in Ohrid and hosted by North Macedonia’s prime minister.

“Choosing Ohrid as the location for the talks on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, to be hosted by our Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, is proof that our country is synonymous with constructive dialogue, maturity and responsibility in the region,” Maricic wrote in a post on Facebook.

“We implement, advocate and support the policies based on European values, which do not dwell on the past but lead to a clear EU perspective and offer stability, prosperity and well-being for our citizens,” Maricic stated.

The office of North Macedonia’s prime minister declared on March 1 that Kovacevski was ready to host the meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Premier Albin Kurti within the negotiations facilitated by the EU and U.S., on March 18. According to announcements, the EU high representative for foreign policy and security, Josep Borrell, and the EU’s Western Balkans envoy, Miroslav Lajcak, will attend the meeting.
