Associate professor at the Belgrade School of Political Science Dusan Vucicevic has said that it seems to him that it is much more realistic to hold legislative elections in Serbia in spring 2024 than fall this year.
He told the latest April 6 edition of the Vreme weekly that it also was not realistic to hold Belgrade city elections in spring this year, because the difference in votes in the capital is too small for, as he said, taking a risk with new elections that are not tied to legislative elections.
He said that it was much easier for the parties in power to find opposition delegates for cementing their thin majority. "Some analysts close to the Serbian Progressive Party are mentioning elections in Belgrade in fall 2023 and this could cause people to think that they know something that we do not know," he said.
