Cybercrime Prosecutor Branko Stamenkovic has stated that it is extremely important for everyone to understand that those glorifying crime on social media will not be able to avoid culpability by “claiming they didn’t know what they were doing.”

“Every such action will be investigated and processed according to the Criminal Code. I’ll stress again that our level of tolerance for such crimes has always been very low, and is now non-existent. As it shall remain,” Stamenkovic told the May 10 edition of the Nova daily.

According to him, the Prosecutor’s Office “expects that penalties will compel the perpetrators to not repeat their crimes but will also [compel] the public and other persons in the broadest sense to understand that such behavior will be punished.”
