Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s only political goal is to ethnically cleanse Kosovo of Serbs and that is something Serbia will never allow, Serbian Defense Minister Milos Vucevic said on June 27.
“As difficult as the circumstances are, we will do everything to protect our people [in Kosovo and Metohija],” Vucevic told the Vecernje Novosti daily.
According to him, the security situation in the country is “very complex due to the events in Kosovo and Metohija.”
“Kurti has been doing what the West tells him to do, because so-called independent Kosovo is the brainchild of that very West,” said Vucevic, who is also the president of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.
The minister further stated that Serbia “will continue its policy of friendship toward both the East and the West, and is not rushing into conflict with anyone,” i.e. it is not imposing sanctions on Russia nor is it selling munitions to sides engaged in conflict.
