Vucic, Patriarch Porfirije, Dodik Agree on Holding Commemoration for Operation Storm Victims

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on July 20 that Patriarch Porfirije and he had accepted the proposal of the president of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, for the Day of Remembrance of the victims of Croatia’s military and police operation Storm to be marked in Prijedor, RS, on Aug. 4.

Vucic posted in Instagram that he had discussed “all crucial national interests for the Serb people” with the head of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the president of RS. “Important joint meetings in the territory of Republika Srpska in the near future were arranged, while Patriarch Porfirije and I accepted the proposal of President Dodik for the marking of the Day of Remembrance of all the killed and expelled Serbs in the armed operation Storm, to be held in Prijedor on Aug. 4,” he stated.

In an earlier post, Vucic announced that he and Dodik arranged on July 20 for a meeting of “all state organs” of Serbia and Republika Srpska to be held soon in the territory of that entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
