Four people were killed and around 200 injured in a heavy storm that struck Croatia in the afternoon and evening of July 19 and damaged more than 2,000 structures, according to information collected by July 20.
Two people died in the territory of the City of Zagreb, one in the Brod-Posavina County, and one firefighter in the Vukovar-Srem County, Hina has reported. More than 2,000 housing, commercial and other structures were damaged, along with a number of vehicles. The value of the damage is still being assessed.
In the territory of Zagreb, two schools, two medical centers, five clinics and a hospital were damaged. Croatia’s firefighting community announced that they responded to 1,507 emergencies, with 3,865 firefighters and 1,604 vehicles.
